Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
We would always rather you came and had a good time than had a bad experience. This page sets out plainly what happens if you need to change your plans.
Cancelling your workshop
| When you cancel | What happens |
|---|---|
| 14 days or more before the workshop | Full refund, no questions asked |
| 7 to 14 days before | Full refund |
| Within the 7 days before the workshop | No refund — but you may transfer your place to someone else |
| No-show without telling us | No refund |
Your right to cancel within 14 days. When you book online you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the purchase without giving any reason and receive a full refund. That right applies regardless of the cancellation windows above. It stops applying once the workshop date itself has passed.
Transferring your place
If you can no longer come but someone else can, you are welcome to pass your place on. Just tell us the new participant's name and email address before the workshop so we can update the booking. There is no charge for this, and it applies even inside the 7-day window.
If we cancel the workshop
We need a minimum number of participants for a workshop to run. If we do not reach it, or if we have to cancel for another reason outside our control — venue unavailability, illness, or a staffing emergency — we will contact you promptly and offer you either:
- a full refund of everything you paid, or
- a free transfer to another date or a different workshop, whichever you prefer.
You choose. There is no administrative fee and no credit-note-only option.
Late arrival
Please arrive a few minutes before the start time — workshops begin on time and the session is a fixed length. If you are delayed significantly we will do our best to include you, but some steps may already have been completed.
If the session is not what you expected
If something went wrong and you are within the 7-day window, please get in touch. We review these case by case and will look at making it right, for example by offering a transfer to another workshop or a partial refund. A photo of what you made very much helps us understand what happened.
Workshops affected by disruption
If a public health measure, travel restriction, or other circumstance outside our control makes it impossible or unsafe to run a workshop in person, we will treat it as a cancellation by us — full refund or free transfer, your choice — even if your 7-day window has passed. We would much rather move you to a later date than keep your money.
Gift cards
- Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
- They can be used for any workshop or private event.
- They are not refundable for cash and cannot be resold or transferred as cash.
- They cannot be applied to a purchase that has already been made, unless we agree otherwise.
- Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced unless we can verify the original purchase.
Private events
For private events, the deposit and cancellation terms are confirmed in writing when you book. In general we ask for a deposit to secure the date, and the balance is due on the day. If you need to reschedule, tell us as early as possible — we will always try to find you a new date rather than charge you again.
How refunds are issued
Refunds are issued to the original payment method and normally appear within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank. If more than 14 days have passed, email us and we will chase it up.
Something not covered here?
Just ask us. We would always rather sort something out than argue about a small amount of money.
