72 People, 6 Workshops, and So Much Soap-Making Joy at Ambacht in Beeld Festival 2026 🧼💛
September 2026 was a special milestone for Sparkling Mosaic! I had the wonderful opportunity to be part of Ambacht in Beeld Festival, a big celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and the joy of making things by hand.
Being part of such a wonderful platform and sharing my love for soap-making with so many people was an experience I will always remember.
Making Soap, Making Memories
At the festival, I hosted six hands-on soap-making workshops for parent-child duos, welcoming a total of 72 participants to discover the art of making their own soap bars.
Every single one of those workshops was fully booked — a sold-out weekend that I'm still smiling about. The festival even had to put up an uitverkocht (sold out) sticker on the programme!
It was so lovely to see parents and children sitting together, choosing colours, exploring natural ingredients, selecting their favourite shapes, and creating something with their own hands. Every soap bar was unique, just like the people who made it!
For me, the best part of these workshops is watching people realise how much fun it can be to create something from scratch. You don't need any previous experience or special skills. All you need is a little curiosity and the willingness to try something new.
And when parents and children create something together, it becomes more than just a craft activity. It's a chance to slow down, spend quality time together, get creative, and take home a little handmade memory.
A Big Milestone for Sparkling Mosaic
Being part of Ambacht in Beeld Festival was particularly meaningful to me because Sparkling Mosaic is all about making creativity accessible and bringing people together through hands-on experiences.
Teaching 72 people across six workshops in just one festival weekend was both exciting and rewarding. I felt incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to share my passion for handmade skincare with such a large audience and introduce more people to the art of soap-making.
I started Sparkling Mosaic because I believe making your own skincare can be simple, fun, and accessible to everyone. Experiences like this remind me why I started in the first place.
